What this site keeps, and what it does not.
Short version: no cookies, no advertising trackers, and what you enter stays in your browser unless you choose to send it.
What you enter in the launch planner
Your planner answers (launch date, optional book title, formats, audience, time, budget and goals) and the tasks you tick off are saved in your browser's local storage, so your plan is still there when you come back. They stay on your device until you clear your browser's site data. They are not sent anywhere unless you fill in the optional form.
The plan itself is built in your browser. "Copy as text" puts it on your clipboard, "Print" uses your browser's print dialog, and the calendar (.ics) file is created on your device; none of these send your plan to us or to any other service.
A short summary of your answers is also kept in session storage, so that if you choose to send the optional form, Scribe can see the plan you built. It is deleted when you close the tab.
Counting visits
To know whether the site is useful, it counts events such as "a page was viewed," "the planner was started," "a plan was built" or "a calendar file was downloaded." Each count is stored only as a total per day. No cookie is set, and no IP address, device ID or other identifier is stored with the counts.
Links that carry campaign tags
If you arrived from a link with campaign tags in the address (such as utm_source), the site keeps those tags in session storage and sends them with the optional form, so Scribe knows which link brought you. Links from this site to scribemedia.com are tagged to show they came from here.
If you send the form
Your name, email, optional phone number, the page you sent it from and a summary of your planner answers and plan are sent to Scribe Media and stored in Scribe's customer system (HubSpot). Scribe uses them to get in touch with you and as described in the Scribe Media privacy policy. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Fonts and hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare and loads its fonts from Google Fonts. Like any web server, these receive standard request information such as your IP address in order to deliver the page.
